Writing Vlog #7: Why Self-Publish?
Updated: Jan 5, 2020
This week I'm talking about why I self-published, and factors to consider if you're thinking of doing the same.
If you'd like to ask me a question to be answered on this vlog, then tweet me @JosieJaffrey using the hashtag #AskJosieJaffrey!
News
In writing news, I've written 8,000 words of The Blood Prince (Sovereign Book III) this week (2,000 more to follow this evening, I hope...!), which means I have a quarter of the book to write in the next ten days if I want to finish the manuscript by Christmas. That's going to be a challenge, but an achievable one, I think.
In reading news, I've been sick this week, so I managed to read LOADS of books (well, three). My top pick of the bunch was Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor, which was the first book I've read all year that actually lived up to the hype. It was lyrical and gorgeous, and I adored every heart-breaking moment.
In other news, preparations are well underway for The Gin Book Club's QUIZ OF THE YEAR, coming to you in two instalments on 23rd and 30th December in lieu of my usual vlog post.
